Bravis Base в качестве GPRS модема.

Всем привет.

По случае летнего ненастья пост о том как я разбирался с моноблочным интернетом от Bravis Base. Разумеется 3G в Bravis Base нет, но можно настроить Интернет в 2G режиме на ноутбук. Телефон построен на базе чипа Spreadtrum SC6531BA, поэтому скачиваем USB драйвера для  Spreadtrum, в архиве будут обе версии, 32 и 64-бит. Модем устанавливается без проблем на Windows XP или Windows 7.

Подключаем  Bravis Base к компьютеру с помощью USB кабеля. На экране телефона нужно выбрать пункт «Передача данных». Про другие два пункта "Диск" и "Камера ПК" я вам писал ранее, между прочим диск (SD-карта) доступен даже при выключенном телефоне! Но продолжим.

В диспетчере устройств появится неизвестное устройство «USB Device». Устанавливаем в ручном режиме ранее скачанный драйвер, выбирая при этом разрядность вашей операционной системы.

В процессе установки у вас в диспетчере устройств должно появится три новых устройства, среди которых будет «SCI USBModem», это и будет модем телефона.

Далее создаётся стандартное Интернет-подключение. В качестве имени поставщика услуг можно писать всё что угодно, например «Мой GPRS». В качестве номера телефона указываем  "*99***1#" либо "*99#". Оба номера работают как для оператора Киевстар так и Life. Имя пользователя, пароль и подтверждение пароля оставляем пустыми.

Когда введёте все данные, нажимаете «Готово». Если поставить соответствующую галочку, создастся ярлык на рабочем столе, в противном случае, созданное подключение можно будет запускать с «Сетевого подключения».

Для подключения к Интернет запускаем только что созданное подключение... и вот он - ваш Интернет на компьютере.

Do you study English as e-learning? Here you are.

-Ok. I'm studying English as e-learning for the year. I have work, and I have access to Internet at my work. So I decided to learn English in electronic method, i.e. remotely. I had checked in educational company FLASH my level of English and received four points of the six available. I thought that I can study English myself further. So, what am I doing now? I see Youtube videos from Emma channel. I read intermediate coursebook Lifestyle. And I listen audio scripts from this coursebook too. Also I listen audio scripts from Pimsleur course on my cellphone (mp3 format) during the time from work to home. Unfortunately my listening English by cellphone is very hard in our trolleybuses. They are very noisy. Ok. And, of course, I try sometimes to write story about current topic. For example, as this blog-story about e-learning.

 

What are advantages of e-learning? I think that there are few one.

In the first place, I can take e-learning in any free time. If I haven't time for e-learning in the moment, I can find time for it later.

Secondly, I choice the current topic for learning myself. I choice the topic for writing to my blog myself too.

Thirdly, videos and audios scripts are very affordable via Internet today.

What are disadvantages of this method?

The main disadvantage is requirement for strong self-organisation of all processes of e-learning. It's concerning from your will and goal.These are good stimulus for your brain activity.

The second disadvantage is absence of real conversation with other potential pupils or students. Although many people resolve it by chatting online in Skype.

And technical shortage - my computer equipment can not be able to support some web-cast or video-course in English. It can happen on modern web-conferences. So, recently I have got message that my operational system (or web-browser) doesn't support video stream from their web-site (Java?). But I'm sure that e-learning method has more pluses than negatives. I can advice it for you too.

Проверка Web-камеры телефона BRAVIS.

Всем привет.

Не так давно я предлагал вам мини-обзор мобильного телефона BRAVIS Base. Вы знаете, несмотря на его не смартфоновость, он удовлетворяет мои основные потребности уже полгода. Самая интересная из них это режим web-cam через USB.

К сожалению сама камера в телефоне по параметрам никакая, но вдруг производитель исправится.) И если камеру поправят в лучшую строну, хотя бы фокус ей вернут, то могут быть различные сферы применения. 

Вот и я провел ей тест в различных OS и программах. Разумеется она легко инициируeтся в WinXP. Причем в WinXP никакое дополнительное ПО для получения картинки не нужно.

Дальнейшие тесты были проведены для Windows 7. В 7-ке штатного ПО для web-камеры нет. Поэтому первой пробуем распространенную и простую АМСАР от Microsoft. Удачно.

There are advantages for me: 2 SIM-cards in alternate mode, flashlight, microUSB, slot for micro-SD card, FM-radio, camera, video and audio player. And head-set.

  

The main shortage of this device is camera. It has resolution in 0.08 Mpx only. And it do shapshot and video in portrait format, i.e. 480x640. I think that producer was greedy for camera.

But he did joke in device as webcam feature for such camera. Do You know about auto-focus or manual focus for web-cams? So here, this web-cam has, may be, Nо-focus.))

What I can advise for You? 

This is good device for minimal price with minimal features. Sure, if You will not use camera in this device often.) Ok, I switched all menu in this cell phone to English. I have more shorter menu items in this case, this is more suitable for manual configuration.
